Hahaha, children generally have better chances to be multilingual. Perhaps not everyone would achieve a high level proficiency in every language because linguistic excellence does need a special talent too, but if there is enough persistence in learning, I believe that they should be able to master some languages for a simple conversation I think.
I can only agree :) The earlier you start learning languages, the higher your chances of mastering them are ;)
