Steemit for Content Creators | #ep30 | boosting your posts with bots

in #dtube6 years ago (edited)

the world is full of AI and bots these days -- some great, some good, some scary and terrifying, will we lose the game of control or will we have a period of time when this stuff will work for us at least in an enhancing sense? who knows, the jury is out! :)

that being said, we already have bots that exists here on steemit, some good, some bad, some do awesome things and are super helpful and some of the offer a lot but often deliver very little - it's certainly an area you have to learn for yourself where you fit on that sliding scale of usage and not for what but for the WHY!

my standing of november 2017 is that if your content is good enough and you keep plugging away then you can get noticed by whales out there and be empowered. i was lucky to be given a 15,000k steem delegation whilst doing this project so magic can happen if you keep plugging away and believe in what you do and what you put out - if we are going to move towards this idea of 'good content' we need to know what it means to all of us not just some of us.

the st33m amplify project is an effort to bring vloggers, content creators, youtubers and to bring in general the bloggers of the world into steem and show them they can add steemit to their income streams and have a more open, ad-free experience and share the wealth of their own successes over here on the platform instead of a centralized blog that currently pays them little adsense or nothing at all.

Thank You.... @teamvideo

I have mixed feelings about voting bots. I can appreciate that people are desperate to make anything and that they struggle to get noticed, but the concept of steemit is rewarding good content and a bot will not pass judgement on quality. That said, I did self vote in the past to get a few extra cents. It's all allowed, but we may be judged on our past behaviour

absolutely and i think that's a conversation to be had as well, how do we track when someone has made good on past mistakes and learned a lesson? because in the future of cross referencing everything at some point we need 'sentiment' and 'period of time' as values that bots with ethics (if there is ever such a thing) need to learn because ultimately those will be attributes that AI will require to understand that us humans actually need clean air and food to sustain ourselves too :)
