i put this little video together because i've seen many people trying to do live streams here on steemit using youtube live embeds but struggling, the main point is that you should use the youtube url for the scheduled live stream now the live stream link, that way it will work, best to schedule your events a few days before.

one of the best things about doing a post twenty four hours before is that you can use the comments to create a bit of a buzz and also it will help your reputation if you have people talking in the comments rather than on youtube because you could reply or upvote live on screen and that brings another dimension of interaction with the people who are watching especially if you have a lot of people in the chat, it can be a bit more manageable, also people have to be a steemit on the platform to comment i think which is a nice way of onboarding people! :)
