This is hot, my fellow Steemians. You'll want to know about this, see what is happening and take advantage of it. In this video, I go in-depth to show you some of the secret possibilities in this new video platform. You'll get a chance to see how Dan Dicks, Jeff Berwick, and Jerry Banfield are all using it now --- and making some good money with it!

Oh, BTW, let me know what you think of the new tool I'm using for this. I used a tool that works with Facebook Live to create some rather nice effects. If you have questions about it, please let them and I'll get back with you.
I look forward to hearing from you!

What are the best settings for uploading videos? I am using a Windows 7 64-bit computer. I uploaded a few videogame play videos in .mp4 format to Dtube.video (https://dtube.video/c/funforme).
One of the videos has audio but no video. The other shows the first 3 seconds of a video slightly over a minute long, and stops. I have learned that Google Chrome seems to work best when trying to upload videos. Could really use some help on this. If there is such a thing as a program or app to upload videos to Dtube, I would LOVE to know about it.
Thank you for stopping by funforme. I am not an expert in the settings, but keep it small is a good rule for video creation. I'd go no higher than 720p as it can slow down a lot of systems. I'd also check by loading similar video on YouTube and notice what works and what comes through smoothly.
I don't know why your audio wouldn't work. It might be Google Chrome. I find that works best in most situations. Let us know how it works out for you.
I believe that the copyrights frauds needs to be actioned somehow quicker.
Would be nice to have report ability/ downvote with reason maybe? i dont know what do you think guys is potential solution?
You raise an important issue. Copyrights can be tough but keep in mind this is international, not US. What works in one country might not in others. If you're talking about you having a copyright on your material, don't expect a lot of privacy when you go online. Some countries don't recognize copyrights from other countries so it is something you have to work around.
I've found that for business videos (the world where I live) it is best to assume your content will be copied and design it accordingly.
Thank you for your comment. Nice to have you stop by.
Which videoformat/codex are you using? I was uploading some videos in H264 but they don't play on DTube after upload.
I should add, do you care to tell us which tools you use to record screen cast in h264?
I used the simple one that comes with ECamm Live. It created a simple MP4 and I edited that one in CMac then uploaded it. Not really complicated but it works.
Loving the site so far, hope the buffering gets fixed soon
Yes, I've had problems with the buffering from time to time. I think it is part of the newness of the channel. I remember YouTube had a lot of problems when it was initially started.
I'm all for a decentralized, unfiltered, uncensored version of YouTube, and it would be great, if I could only sign in and use it. However I keep getting the private posting key is wrong message, even though I just used it to log onto steemit. I also tried using different browsers and clearing the cache, with no success.
Found this and it has worked for me: https://steemit.com/steemit-guides/@rgeddes/getting-your-posting-key---made-easy
Yes, there has to be an alternative to YouTube. I don't need a mummy or a daddy deciding, what I'm allowed to watch. I'm against censorship as far as possible.
I agree to your suggestions, Terry. Adding a few more.
Give users the ability to filter content themselves for their personal use, f.e. I'm not interested in sports. I would like to be able to hide such videos on the main page.
Search filters like YouTube
Categories would be nice too, like History, Documentation, News, Nature, Music and so on.
Playlists
Better buffering ... I don't have the strongest computer, but I'm able to watch HD videos on YouTube without lagging.
Accessibility. For viewers it is too difficult to log into DTube: first create a Steemit account, find your private key, then log into DTube. There always will be more viewers than content providers, so make it easy for them to subscribe, follow or comment.
Anyhow, the concept of DTube is promising.
Thank you for making those points, andreab. I have to agree with you on all the points you made.
Having a filter would be great. Right now they have very few videos so it is not a big deal. However, as the platform grows in popularity and use it will quickly become overloaded. Filters would be great.
BTW, I like all of those categories you listed. I don't follow sports myself. Glad that those who like it can. Filters would make a lot of sense. It would be particularly good to have subdivisions for various languages and countries.
And yes, it is rather complicated to initially get up and running. This is true with cryptocurrencies in many areas. That creates wonderful opportunities for those who will provide solutions to make on-boarding much easier.
Thank you for your comments and very insightful thoughts. Please come back and visit again. Hope you have a great day.
Thank you, Terry ... I'm more a reader, viewer and commentator than creator, so I didn't use Steemit much myself, but I like the concept. Creation of good content should be rewarded and not become a rip off for corporations. Sick and tired of this greed everywhere, not to mention censorship.
Have a great day too, cu around

Useful publication
Thank you very much, achraf2000. Nice of you to stop by.
Thank you, archraf2000. I'm enjoying this DTube thing a lot. I look forward to using it for viewing and learning as well as producing more content. Nice to have you visit us here.
Thanks Terry, however it's impossible to watch your video. The streaming is terrible and I can't set the resolution to something lower so that the speed is bearable. I have no problems with YouTube. I love the concept of DTube, but a lot of work still has to be done on the frontend. This confirms all the exsisting problems I have had with DTube. What can I set to get DTube working properly?
Sorry you're having problems with this, lucky.digger. I don't know what the problem would be because many others are getting the stream just fine. I'm not a technician so I don't know what is wrong technically. Perhaps you might ask about it with Adrian himself. He might be accessible on Steem Chat. Keep us posted how it work. Once you get it working, I'm sure you're going to enjoy using DTube.
Thank you!
