I totally can relate to your image of youtube mate.
The german youtube scene is also mostly really crazy, mainstream and without much real content / deeper messages.
One of the most famous youtubers are brothers called "prank bros" and they are acting like making pranks but they are so bad actors and story writers that everyone knows that everything is fake. but we have also really good content and funny entertainment. But the most famous ones are just mainstream, trendfollowers and yeah.. I love dtube and can not imagine that it could be gone anyday.
But if: we will change the platform and take all our supportive followers with us yeaaaah!
You have right. YouTube scene is weird.
