Now that I think about it, I don't remember my 16th at all. All I can remember is when I was about to become 13, because I realized that I would be a teenager. I thought it was odd that that was considered somehow important, since I'd just be a few days older...

Turning 13! Was also a big thing for the kids
It made them feel like they were adults
