Byzantinische Ausfallsicherheit ist ein Sicherheits-Modell, dass sich verteilte Netzwerk wie z.B. Blockchains anwenden lässt um mehr über sie zuerfahren. Byzantinische Ausfallsicherheit (BFT von englischem byzantine fault tolerance) unterscheidet sich dabei stark vom kryptoökonomischen Ansatz von z.B. Bitcoin wo Sicherheit immer in € ausgedrückt werden kann.
