Aceh = intolerance. If you aren't them they hate you. I have been there a few times and it isn't all smiles and nice music and dancing. Most of the ISIS fighters from Indonesia came from Aceh. Being gay will get you killed. Thats who they really are. Indonesia is an awesome country overall, but Aceh is one of the worst places you can go there.
I think your statement is still lacking references. it is true aceh forbid gay because gay is an unlawful in indonesia. whereas your statement about isis is completely wrong. the proof of Aceh is still safe and we live in harmony with other religions.
I spoke to people who debriefed captured ISIS fighters in Syria. All the Indos were from Aceh. Most of them cannot return because Indonesia has cancelled their passports. Peace as long as there are no Christians around. I have many Muslim Indo friends. My family all hold Indo passports. With all that it is still my strong opinion that Aceh is as I described.
