Durable stamps
I’m dreamgalaxys, a homeowner from Alabama, and I figured I’d share my experience in case someone’s debating what to do with an old patio. Mine used to be an eyesore, cracked surface, dull color, and just no character. I didn’t want to pour a whole new slab, so I started looking into overlays and found GlobMarble through a contractor friend. What made the biggest difference were the durable stamps from their Ashlar SM 3005 set. The pattern looks expensive but isn’t over the top, and the base overlay handled everything without lifting or chipping. Friends who saw it for the first time literally said “wow,” and a couple even asked if it was imported stone. It’s American-made, which honestly gave me more confidence in the quality. If anyone’s on the fence about resurfacing vs demolition, stamped concrete with a good overlay is absolutely worth considering.
