Reasons why NYSC should be scrapped

Since the inception of the NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORP, youths have been posted to different parts of the country to serve their fatherland after graduating from their respective institutions. The major reason for this is to foster unity among the different tribes in Nigeria and it was a very welcomed idea when it started. A student from Southwest will be posted to Northern parts, a student from Eastern part of the country will be posted to Southwest etc and it was preferring the required solution to the problem of inter-tribal war

Of recent, it's been discovered that the major aim of NYSC is not been accomplished. You discover that a Southwestern student is still posted to a Southwestern state, a Northern student is posted to another Southern state.

The level of disunity is becoming extremely high, inter-tribal relationships is getting to its breaking point. The Corp members are left to suffer the consequences when posted to different tribes. Some Corp members even lose their lives in the process of serving their fatherland. These things should be made to come to an end hence I am making a move for the scraping of the NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORP. I stand to be corrected.....
