Thank you today, Jesus.

Lord I thank you for this day,
to prove you right once more.
I ask the faith to let me stray,
so the fires burn me more.
Let me lay me down for You,
Because only You know who I am.
Let me lose my battles, too,
Let me fall in the flesh,
Burn the Son of Man.

When I get to bed tonight,
let me rest assured I'll die.
If you let me rise at daylight,
just show me the Love that lets me lose our bitter fight.
