France & Japan
Today, I wanted compare and contrast France and Japan. I took a look at the food, culture, and geography aspects of both countries. Of course, they speak Japanese in Japan and French in France. Duh~ But let’s take a look at the food differences. Well, while pasta is eaten in France quite often, it is culturally more associated with Italy. This is where I got things a little off. France is more globally famous for bread, such as baguettes and stuff, pastries, sauces, and stews, like the Coq au Vin, whatever that is!
And describing Japanese food as "Fried and Greasy" is a no brainer, I mean, it’s a partial view kinda referring to Agemono or Tempura. Traditional Japanese cuisine, aka Washoku, is actually famous for being low-fat, focusing on raw fish (sushi/sashimi), rice, miso soup, and grilled dishes, which btw are oily as heck….
And finally, France is prolly referred to as the Hexagon cuz of its shape. While it has coastlines, it’s technically not a peninsula (like Italy or Spain); and I knew this but it was really hard to explain.
