Communication with earth

I enter the room or the place in nature; I pause. I listen to the place where I am and wait

for silence to fall. Making contact means sensing a subtle shift in the atmosphere—perceptible only to those who set aside their loud thoughts and tune in fully to what they can feel. And then—only then—can you begin to communicate, mindfully and, ideally, with love.

You will recognize it if you sense things mindfully within yourself, perceiving every subtle change with all seven of your senses.

For me, most of this perception takes place within the body.

Today, I watched a video of Mount Kailash. The man filming it was called by the mountain to record it—or so he says. He writes that the sole reason for creating his Instagram channel was that the mountain spoke to him and emphatically gave him this task. He lovingly named his channel "Dada_Kailash" At one point, he briefly dipped the camera into the water during a purification ritual. I felt a pleasant wave wash through my body as I tuned into the footage.

A recording is not merely a video.

It is a portal to that moment. And if you listen closely and open yourself to those energies,

then you can feel it. You can feel what you are encountering.

That is why I don’t care much for horror movies based on true stories—especially when they use actual photographs or even the real locations.

Videos are portals; they can serve to open up dimensions you never expected to encounter.
