Consolidating our energy towards a steem-based #ecovillage or, indeed, a NETWORK of ecovillages, is an exciting shift for @ecotrain. We are now deliberately and consciously curating those posts which speak to the issues, challenges and needs of the emerging steem eco-communities. To that end, we're RENAMING our weekly @ecotrain 'Nuggets', to be "Global Steem Village News".

Community Of Purpose
The WHY factor is everything. If you're seeking to escape Life and to have things done and created for you, you need a therapist, not a community. Cos a community will only be as strong and healthy as the sum of its contributing parts. My favourite question to throw into the "I wanna start an eco-community* chat is, "What specifically will you be CONTRIBUTING to that community?"
The Purpose of the community will automatically self-create its constituent members. Reading the many responses so far who hailed "diversity" as being so important, that diversity splinters and ruptures rapidly without the cohesion of Purpose. Because it is from the over-arching Purpose that the community can measure its decisions and determine its own future.
Unplugging from EMFs and the 'luxuries' of modern technology is bracely explored by @owasco. She found herself at first anxious, but later singing, creating and pondering more time without these onslaughts to her more subtle Being. A must-read if you're thinking about community or concerned about your health & creativity.

I like Steem for the articles that are written. Living off grid as I call it (because there are so many names for this lifestyle) has been an interest of mine for a number of years. My thing is though that we can create without limit of platform or talent. We can all do more then one thing and are capable of learning more.
