Hey everyone, fabulous morning to you all. (and in case I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening and good night.)

This is a big one for me.
I'm officially announcing that the first episode of my new podcast 'Discomfort Zone' will be airing live this Thursday! @22:00 UTC on the PAL Discord server in the 'MSP Waves Broadcast' room.
(You can connect to the 'mspwaves-audience' room and take part in the live chat throughout the show.)
If you don't use discord, the show is broadcast live on vimm tv and on MSP Waves.
"But Orlev, what if I can't listen to your podcast live?" I hear you ask. Not to worry, I shall be posting the episodes to 3speak hopefully sometime during Friday, depeneding on my schedule..

Here's a quick description of the show.

DISCOMFORT-ZONE

Sustainability - Politics - Economy - Psychology

“If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.” ― Lao Tzu

Join me, as I dive into the depth and breadth of the paradigms and ideas underlying the natural- Giving, Cryptoken ecoVillage model.

In this podcast I cover the theory behind sustainability strategies and technologies, Human psychology in relation to group dynamics, inside and outside the village. The ecoVillage model, on a personal scale will change a person's life, on a global scale will revolutionize the political and economic systems.

Wow...
Just, wow...

I am both ecstatic and terrified.

You see, I have a long history with podcasts..
My first attempt was in 2015. It was an exploration into the experience of ingesting psychedelic mushrooms. I interviewed 6 people about their various experiences, and then edited their answers into a flowing description of a 'trip',meant to give some idea to those who have never tried it.
I'm pretty pleased with the result, but it was a lot of work.. I think usually you would want a few people for that kind of project..
It took months to complete the first hour long episode, and by the time I had finished, I was burned-out..

My next attempt was in 2017. The idea was a little different. I decided to live-stream on fb, talking with guests about religion, mysticism and the meaning of life.
The technical difficulties of live streaming alone were enough to put me off, but even without that, I felt myself wanting to talk a bit more, and interview a bit less. This may sound pretentious, but it was my podcast.. I ended up spending most of the time listening to people say things, I didn't necessarily agree with, and had a lot to say about..

I think there are some poeple who are amazing interviewers, and I think they do an amazing job at it. But I felt I had a different calling..

So I decided to flip it. Have my friend interview me, about those subjects. This was recent, and my final endeavour to date at collaborating on a podcast.

In each case, the podcast itself went well. I was pleased with the result in terms of execution (most of the time), but it just... Didn't feel right.. I felt I had things I wanted to share with the world, but I hadn't quite hit my niech yet..

And then, Steemit happened..
(As in, I joined Steemit.)
It has been my most exciting, rewarding, unexpected journey through virtual space ever. This community has been so supportive, that within the short period of time I have been here, I was invited to be a guest on pennsif's and on makinstuff's podcast. Both were thrilling, and I am forever indebted to you both.

In fact, those experiences are what rekindled my enthusiasm, and when Makinstuff said I might be able to have my own podcast, it got me thinking..

I eventually contacted r0nd0n on the PAL SERVER. He is a moderator for the server, and manager of the MSP Waves Broadcast Network. He has been so supportive and helpful in the process of setting this up, that I cannot thank him enough.

So, once again I find myself on the brink of podcasting.
Only this time, something is different.
I feel I come to this project, with a new found purpose I was so sorely lacking in my previous endeavours..

The ecoVillage!!!

My dream.
My heart.
My life.

Everything that I have, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, I have been putting into this... Purpose.
It is what I have been striving towards my entire life.
You may think I'm exaggerating, or using hyperbole, but in my mind that is not the case.

I shall share a very personal story with you, which not many people in my life know about.
(I am not the most private person, but the reason for not telling was, that it took 6 years for me to understand what had happened, so I payed it very little attention at the time.)

It was in 2012. The first time I ingested psychedelic mushrooms.
I was with my then gf, and we had decided to drive to the woods to be in a more pastorale setting..
We got there, made the tea, drank it, and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
And nothing happened.
I mean nothing!
I got sleepy, and decided after an hour waiting, that this didn't work, I'd heard it takes some people a few times, and we had taken very little..
So we headed home, not slightly disappointed,
And I went straight to bed to rest.

That was when I started to daydream.
Only it wasn't a daydream, because these weren't my thoughts..
It was like someone was projecting a film in my mind.
Having no experience with mushrooms before, I assumed it was some weird side affect, and closed my eyes to enjoy the scene..
Only.... It was a very dull scene indeed..
Farmers, working in the field.

Let's be clear. At this point in my life I was set on becoming a shaman. I was very into psychedelics, mysticism, and had no time or energy for manual labour.. I had better, loftier things to do with my time..
So why on earth farmers? Why not priests, or monks?
And it wasn't beautiful either.
I'm not a very visual person, but there were no vibrant colours, no smooth camera movement, no cinematic overtone.
Its mundane feeling almost reminded me of a communist commune, with grey looking workers tiring from hard work.
But the vision I was having felt, different.. It wasn't like a film, it felt more like downloaded information. Like a very large complex idea, encoded in as little visual information as possible to speed up the transmission.
At the time I had no idea what was going on.
To me, it was some weird daydream about farmers, that had very little to do with my life..
And I forgot about it, for about 6 years..

Whereupon I was in the Amazon jungle, looking to finally become an apprentice Shaman.

I mentioned the experience in one of my early blogs, if you care to read what the circumstances were, suffice to say I had my second vision of people working the land. This time it was an educational center for troubled teens. But, here's the kicker, it revolved around an ecological educational center, focused on therapeutic working of the land...
To me, it wasn't immediately obvious. I had very little experience working with nature, or even in a garden.. It took me a while until I started potting the thread connecting these two, very separate events..
I had to go to another continent, to India, to find how this whole thing fits together..

And so, when I finally saw the big picture, a year later, everything clicked, into a giant jigsaw puzzle, that is the ecoVillage model. I finally understood it all..

So many things that had happened in my life, suddenly got a new perspective, I suddenly saw a golden thread underlying it all, leading me unmistakably to this very moment in time and space.

And so, it is with great forethought, some trepidation, and tremendous vigor, that I embark on my most ambitious podcasting project to date.

There's a lot of history behind this. Which gives you a glimpse into the title, Discomfort Zone, but I'll save that for another post..

As for the podcast, I intend to use this magnificent platform (MSP-WAVES, go check 'em out, lots of great shows, great music, and lots and lots of great info!) to outline my personal beliefs, experiences, and knowledge, of what the ecoVillage model is really all about.

This is not permacultre, or nvc (non violent communication), its about the basic model which I believe, holds the answers to our most pressing and urgent problems we face in the modern world.
On a personal, individual level.
And on a global level.

So join me on Thursday to hear more about the ecoVillage. I will start the episode with a little introduction and some background of who I am and how I got to where I am today, and then I will go over the very general outline of the Ecovillage model, and the ideas and theories I'll be talking about more in depth in the coming episodes...

I'm excited, should be fun.

I hope you join me, in whatever way you most prefer, on or off line, live or "tivo'ed", I'll be there.
Have a wonderful week, and look forward to what lies ahead!

I'll just be finishing off work when it starts so won't be able to catch it live unless it falls on a day off. So I'll be looking for the replays!
