As part of the fourth industrial revolution since the invention of the steam engine, electricity, and information technology, blockchain technology has been applied in many fields such as finance, justice, and commerce. The current paper focuses on potential educational applications and explores how blockchain technology can be used to solve some educational problems. This article first introduces the following features and advantages of blockchain technology by exploring some of the current applications of blockchain for education. Several innovative applications using blockchain technology are proposed, and the benefits and challenges of using blockchain technology for education are also discussed. One of them that I will discuss is an open payment system for educational institutions.

INTRODUCTION

Edgecoin provides an open payment system for educational institutions where individuals can carry out education related transactions such as registration fees, accommodation, books, etc. through decentralized applications.
