in #education5 years ago

No, I won't do it. c'mon, just once! No, I won't do Christmas related post is not that bad, the month is almost over exactly, the actual Christmas was 4 days ago you don't hate Christmas that much! I do, you can't make me and there's nothing you'll say that can change my mind The Mistletoe is a parasitic plant that sucks nutrients from other plants making it basically Plant Dracula ... WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

You may already know that Mistletoe is really evil for taking part in the assassination of Baldr by the hand of his twin Höðr misguided by asshole extraordinaire Loki what do you mean you don't know? Guys, you always miss the really important stuff but Mistletoe is not just the only weakness of the handsome Nordic god, it's a hemiparasitic plant that attaches itself to trees and sucks up the life from them.

All Mistletoe species are hemiparasitic, meaning that they are not total stalkers and do some photosynthesis here and there, from time to time, but some rejected their humanity plantanity? plantanicy? much more and leave almost all metabolic activity to their poor host, this is where the creepy part begins, the Mistletoe insert their roots in the host trees and goes to their circulatory system where they can directly extract all kind of nutrients and leave like a happy vegetative vampire

And that's not all, this sweet sweet plant is also toxic, not so much that can kill anybody but if it is ingested let's say by a poorly executed kiss... didn't happen to me btw it can cause diarrhea, vomiting and blurred vision, in some extreme cases it can lead to seizures hypertension and even cardiac arrest, sooo next time someone tries to smooch you under the leaves of these villainous plants, FIST 'EM! iugh, not like that! Gross not because you are under the poisonous plant version of Castlevania's main antagonist, but because unsolicited kisses are weird and creepy as fuck! and you know, mononucleosis and stuff! SHOW THEM HOW IT'S DONE RED!!!!
