Follow Up Thoughts On The Noble Job of Teachers Nurturing Our Kids
Since we were young, teachers are always on the front lines whenever the future of the children becomes the subject matter due to the fact that they are spending their days teaching every kid under their supervision. In a classroom especially in our country, there around 50 to 70 students are assigned to a single teacher (also known as the adviser) and these students will be monitored based on the development they have in their respective subjects. Every subject in the class is handled by different teachers but the adviser is still responsible for the whole class.
Imagine yourself sitting in front of this number of students thinking about what you are going to do to be of service to them and to their parents, do you think you can do it? The rule of every teacher is to nurture and development not just the intellect of the student but most of all are their whole personality as a human being. This is a very difficult task and is the reason why other teachers could not endure because their also a human and has limitations.
Being unable to perform their role as a teacher could lead to something disparaging like for the sake of staying in the job due to necessity, they will perform their duties in a manner that is not beneficial for the students. For the sake of financial stability, they will perform their duties out of their own intellect not considering the capacity of their students, which most of the time teachers turn irritable whenever somebody in the class could not meet its expectations. This will lead to not understanding their primary role which is to teach their students meeting their goals and not to aggravate them.
Does future depends on them?
In most cases, when this kind of treatment happens, another student will decide to leave the school and when this happen their future starts to shake. Do we really need teachers to be successful in life? Some might say NO, we don't need them especially those who managed to be successful in life even in the absence of school teacher, they are those who dropped out from school and started to learn things in their own way. We heard a lot of them and there's no need to elaborate because we know them.
What about those who really needs the assistance of teachers in achieving their dreams to improve life, who will teach them? We can see them walking on the streets trying to make a living and what's worse is that they choose to turn themselves into a garbage of the community. They become thieves, robbers, criminals and the rampant problem in the world, drug addicts. Well, not all of them are driving in the same direction because there are those who really possess a good heart and choose to live in dignity, try to make a living in a very simple way and is earning for themselves but since the world is in crisis, their earnings is not enough to make a living.
Reason Why They Turn Away From School
There are also other causes why some students choose to go away from schools, and that is the huge and expensive tuition fees. I don't understand the need for expensive fees in schools and universities. Is it really necessary to collect this kind of fees from students who wanted to learn and improve their lives? We always hear this from the government that they will do their best to improve the life of every citizen but have not taken action on the increasing fees of schools and universities. We can't blame these big schools and universities because their purpose of building the school is just for profit, a profit coming from those parents who wanted their kids to have a good life and obtain success in the future. This is for the rich people and not for the poor.
What do you think of schools and universities built out of this principle, do they really intend to help students or they are just after on their earnings, a self-vested interest which is to increase their wealth and be richer day after day, month after month and year after year. Instead of improving the lives of the students, it was them who achieve countless improvements.
We Still Have Time
Let's try to go back 30 years ago and let's compare the method and principles of learning during that time. Maybe it would be hard to change the method of today's learning due to the great knowledge that is now spreading but bringing back those principles might help in any way. What was the principle of teaching back then? It's about creating and developing a person not just with great knowledge, skills, and intellect but being a good person as well.
The onset of failures started when teachers ignored teaching moral values to the students instead they cultivated them on how to be intelligent and be on top, by not accepting aspects that will hinder them in achieving their goals and desires, which most of the time leads to non-satisfaction of everything which drives them to be more.
Importance of Good Values
How do we value things, life and the people around us? The answer to this question relies on how important is good values for a person. Let's just consider life as this the most important thing that a person wanted to achieve, a good life. If a person only gives value on the things that are happening around, it will teach to considering the importance of good values.
A person who knows how to respect, a person who knows how to help, a person who knows how to love, a person who knows how to share, a person who knows how to teach, a person who knows where there going and a person who knows what they're doing, is a person who knows the importance of good values.
I agree with you, moral education is important so they can share and respect others people :)
Yeah right @happyphoenix, lots of studen now doesn't know what respect is.
thanks for sharing this material I really like what you posted. Thank you so much
Does someone who is noble point guns at their fellow earth dweller to steal their property to pay their salary. I don't think you can call state funded teachers noble.
That's what I mean on my previous post that some teachers now have forgotten their role in the community.
