Teaching the Future: My STEMP21 Classes in Peshawar, Pakistan

in #education20 hours ago

Hey everyone! I am Muhammad Rizwan Ali, and I am reaching out from Peshawar. I’ve spent the last decade of my life inside a computer lab, and I thought it was finally time to share my story with the Steemit community.
Life in the Lab
For the past 10 years, I’ve been a computer teacher. Currently, I’m a STEMP21 Instructor at Mercy Educational Complex. If you’ve ever been a teacher, you know that no two days are the same! One hour I’m helping a junior student understand the basics of a PC, and the next, I’m diving into complex networking or programming logic with my seniors.
Why I Love What I Do
Technology can be intimidating. My goal has always been to simplify it. Whether it's troubleshooting a broken system, managing data entry, or setting up a network, I love seeing that "Aha!" moment when a student finally gets it.
At Mercy, we use the STEMP21 curriculum. It’s not just about memorizing facts; it’s about giving these kids real-world skills—coding, critical thinking, and digital literacy—that will actually help them get jobs in the future.
Why Steemit?
I didn't just join Steemit to post; I joined to learn and share. I plan on posting:
Quick Tech Tips: Stuff I’ve learned from 10 years of fixing PCs.
Classroom Stories: A look at the talent we have here in Peshawar.
Tutorials: Simple guides on programming and networking.
Let’s Connect!
I’m really looking forward to meeting other educators, tech geeks, or anyone from Pakistan on here.
Quick question for you guys: What was the first computer program or skill you ever learned? For me, it feels like a lifetime ago!
Catch you in the comments,
