MATH GAME
The following game was developed and used by Ms Nagawa Rebecca to help her students to convert numbers from the decimal base to the required base.
Activity 1
Given 10 marbles:

Given 25 marbles:
In Activity 1 they were converting 10 to the binary base and our answer was .
In Activity 2 they converted 25 to the base three and we got .
The aim was to capture the students' attention, involve everyone and help them to master the concept of changing numbers from base ten to a non decimal base. I achieved my objective and later continued with the method in the usual way and they were able to deal with bigger numbers with confidence.
