Don't force yourself when you're mentally exhausted; just get some fresh air.

In life, who hasn't had moments when their heart aches, when their shoulders can't bear the weight? We always think of gritting our teeth and enduring, believing that getting through it will make us heroes. But the more we endure, the more exhausted we become, the more stifled we feel, making life twisted and unpleasant. Actually, there's no need to be so hard on yourself. When your heart is weary, take a break, go out for some fresh air, let the wind carry away those unpleasant feelings—it's much more effective than stubbornly bearing it all.

In the pouring rain during rush hour, Zhang Wei stood at the office building entrance, his anger simmering. He had just been publicly criticized by his boss in the conference room, his proposal, which he had worked on for several sleepless nights, had been completely rejected, and the client was still giving him endless complaints on WeChat. Looking at the taxi queue on his phone, number one in over a hundred, his hands trembled as he gripped his briefcase. At that moment, he really wanted to throw the bag into the rain, forgetting all about work and pressure.

But in that instant of heightened emotion, a cool breeze slipped in through his collar. The sudden chill instantly dispelled the heat in his head, and his shoulders, tense all day, inexplicably relaxed in that nameless wind. His anger dissipated, much of it carried away by the breeze. It turns out that when a person is pushed to their limit, a little tenderness can disarm them completely.

Compared to work setbacks, the loneliness of being alone is often more agonizing. Xiaolin, having just finalized her divorce, returned to her empty rented apartment. Looking at the unpacked cardboard boxes scattered on the floor, she felt a profound emptiness and unease. She always pretended to be carefree in front of her friends, saying, "Living alone is more free; I don't have to compromise with anyone," and she worked tirelessly, filling her days to the brim, forcing herself not to think about those painful things. But when the night was deep and quiet, the room so still she could hear her own breathing, the resentment of being abandoned and the helplessness of being alone would all suffocate her chest, making even breathing difficult.

One night, unable to bear the suffocation any longer, she opened the window. The night wind rushed in, filling the empty room, its cool breeze brushing against her face. In that moment, she suddenly understood: one doesn't need to be a block of steel, doesn't need to pretend to be strong all the time. Sometimes, being vulnerable, letting the wind keep you company, isn't so bad. The rustling of the wind against the windowpane felt like someone gently comforting her, and the weight on her chest finally lifted.

Life's hurdles never choose their time. Sometimes, when bad luck strikes, even drinking water can be a problem. The more you dwell on it, the more you get stuck in a rut, feeling like the sky is falling. Old Zhao had been in business for years, but one misstep wiped out everything. He not only lost all his savings but also accumulated a mountain of debt. During that time, he was in a daze, sitting on a park bench, looking at the half-empty bottle of cold coffee in his hand, feeling like his life was over. How had he let his life turn out this way?

He stared blankly at the ground, not even noticing the children running past him, until a gust of wind blew, carrying colorful bubbles that landed on his face. A bubble popped with a "pop," and tiny droplets of water splashed onto his skin, cool and refreshing. Old Zhao watched the bubbles being blown about by the wind and suddenly smiled. Bubbles burst, so be it; the wind will disperse them. Isn't this current difficulty just like those bubbles? Just a small episode on the journey of life, sooner or later it will be blown away by the wind. Why hold on to it and trap yourself in a dead end?

We are always taught to be strong, to persevere, to endure, but no one teaches us that when we're tired, we can stop; when we can't hold on any longer, we can rest. Like the trees by the roadside, they never stand foolishly against the fierce wind. When the wind comes, they sway gently in the direction of the wind, distributing the force, so they can stand longer and thrive in the storm. Life is like that; head-on confrontations often result in mutual destruction, hurting yourself and ruining your life.

Everyone has their ups and downs: work goes wrong, relationships break down, money gets tight. These things are like dust stuck to your skin—the more you brush them off, the stickier they become, the heavier they feel. Instead of shutting yourself in your room and dwelling on it, go outside, stand by the roadside, stroll in the park, walk along the riverbank, and let the wind soothe you. Don't think about those worries, don't force yourself to make decisions, just stand quietly and let the wind blow away your restlessness, dispel your confusion, and wash away your bad luck.

This isn't running away, nor is it cowardice; it's the wisest way to live. Life is never a grueling competition; knowing when to advance and when to retreat, learning to relax, is how you go further. When your heart is weary, don't force yourself; just go and feel the breeze. Let the wind carry away your unhappiness, empty the garbage from your heart. When the wind stops, you'll find that the path beneath your feet has always been there; it was just that your eyes were blinded by worries.

Life goes on, bad moods will pass. When the wind blows, everything goes smoothly; broaden your mind, and the road will widen. Don't be too hard on yourself. Rest when you're tired, feel the breeze when you're feeling down. Loving yourself is more important than anything else. After all, life is a long journey; you don't have to tough it out. Occasionally, stop and let the wind accompany you for a while, then continue forward. Your steps will be lighter, and your heart will be brighter.
