Don't stubbornly persist when you hit a wall; learning to adapt is the real skill.

Everyone has the stubbornness to hit a wall, but the wisdom to adapt and be pragmatic is the skill adults should cultivate most. Life is never smooth sailing; bumps and setbacks are the norm. Instead of stubbornly persisting and driving yourself into a dead end, it's better to turn around, find a different path, treat setbacks as stepping stones, and transform difficult roads into smooth ones.

Who hasn't encountered a few "walls" in their life? It might be a relationship that lasted years of heartfelt devotion, only to end in a breakup; it might be a work proposal meticulously crafted through countless sleepless nights, only to be rejected outright; it might be a small business started with great enthusiasm, only to face setbacks right from the start; or even something as simple as going out to buy groceries and getting caught in the rain without an umbrella. These things may seem small, but accumulating over time can be frustrating. Yet, some people get stuck in a rut, treating a single setback as the end of their life.

In reality, our lives are like walking a winding road, with straight sections and curves, flat roads and steep slopes. It's impossible to have a completely smooth journey all the time. The so-called "tough nut to crack" isn't the brute force of banging your head against a wall when you know it's blocked, but rather the wisdom to calmly analyze the situation after hitting a wall and find a way out, even if you're humbled. It's not cowardice in retreating at the first sign of difficulty, but the resilience to have the courage to try another path even when you know it's challenging.

A lost wallet teaches us to be careful with our belongings and avoid repeating the same mistake; a failed exam reveals our weaknesses, allowing us to address them; a broken relationship helps us understand what we want and learn how to love someone; a botched job provides experience and teaches us how to handle unexpected situations. Every setback in life is a lesson, teaching us to grow, to adapt, and to navigate the complexities of the world.

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Misfortune is like sand under your feet; the more you stare at it, the more it hurts. But if you pick it up and polish it carefully, it can become a shining pearl. Life has no insurmountable obstacles, only bends you can't overcome. As long as you hold onto your spirit and don't give up on yourself, even if you're currently stuck in the mud, you can still look up at the sky, rely on your own hands, and step by step, forge your own golden path. Don't stubbornly persist when you hit a wall; learn to change direction. At the end of the road, there's an even more beautiful view.
