Dusk

Obscuring fog descends.
Covering the street.
Can't see where this path ends,
Or where the others meet.

Full of uncertainty:
In forest of despair.
No lamp to lead the way,
For now I will wait here.

But out comes newest light,
And melts the fog away.
The sun overcomes the night:
To birth new perfect day.

Now the way is clear,
For night is cast aside.
The path obscured no more,
And light also abides.
