¡Aubergine paté recipe!
Hi dear steemers I bring you a delicious recipe of aubergine paté an appetizer that you will love. It is a delicious pate, ideal to present as an appetizer or pastry accompanied by bread, cookies, small houses, toast, in short ... your imagination sets the limits ...
The family recipe for this delicious aubergine pate is based on mayonnaise but in Venezuela the country situation has led us to change some ingredients the original recipe but the taste is still exquisite!
Ingredients
- 6 large aubergines
- 4 or 5 cloves of garlic (varies according to size)
- 1 onion
- 1/4 paprika
- cilantro to taste
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- olive oil or corn
- mayonnaise (to taste if you wish)
- salt to taste
Preparation
Step 1
We start washing the aubergines and removing the skin with a vegetable peeler (to remove less meat), we slice them (depending on the thickness we give it will take more or less to roast)
Step 2
Asar aubergines directly in a budare or pan, turn them frequently so that they are done evenly and do not burn quickly. They soften little by little, toasting and darkening.
Step 3
Once our aubergines are ready, we cut them into small pieces.
Step 4
In this step we take the ingredients and proceed to cut them into small pieces
Step 5
We place everything in the blender or food processor adding the oil, vinegar, salt. In any case (make sure there are no large pieces left in the bottom of the blender).
When a creamy paté-like consistency is already ready, it is recommended to keep refrigerated well covered.
