aquatic turtle LA TERECAYA
terecaya is a species of turtle of the podocnemídidos family, they are native of South America and they live in rivers and lakes of amazonia, this type of turtle is semi-aquatic, they have a brown or olive shell, with gray skin and black scales. The whole head is covered with yellow spots, they are a distinctive feature, they are alive when they are young, and they fade with age.
Here I show these pictures of the terecayas of my grandmother, who was always a lover of the turtles that if it is for her, I made a lake in the patio hahaha ..

its shell becomes very soft by staying so long in the water, and it can break easily. Despite being semi-aquatic, they prefer to work in water than on land.
