Did you know that koalas swim, but drown easily?
Link
Hello my steemians today I bring you some general culture.
Although koalas are known to cling to trees and sleep all day, they can sometimes swim. If you have ever observed any of these swimming animals, you have probably noticed that it is not common for them. They can cross rivers to escape a great flood, but they will do it with much effort.
During the summer, koalas are known to submerge in puddles of water to cool off, but swimming pools are a problem for them due to the slippery floor. This could block the koala, preventing it from leaving and ending up drowned.
In 2016 a video was published in which a koala crosses an Australian river swimming. According to the fishermen who have been navigating those waters for years, it is very rare to see such a scene.
Did not know the Koalas could swim, thank you for this darling!
very good :D
thanks :3
