There are countless ways a person can choose to live their life.

Today, we have unlimited options — academics, careers, relationships, travel, sports, entertainment, and more.

But one path stands out to me as both thrilling and challenging: building your own business.

Society often promotes a familiar script:
Get good grades, get a degree, get a secure job, work until retirement, and live off a pension.

There is nothing wrong with that path — many pursue it happily.

But for some of us, that feels limiting.

Having worked 3+ years in Marketing & Business Development, I realized that what excites me most is freedom — the freedom to create, to take risks, and to build something from scratch.

This is where entrepreneurship comes in.

Entrepreneurs are people who imagine possibilities where others see limitations.

They gather people, resources, ideas, and momentum to create something meaningful.

They take responsibility, they risk failure, and they move forward regardless of uncertainty.

One of the most debated questions is:

Are entrepreneurs born, or can anyone learn to become one?

History gives us the answer through countless real-life stories:

Steve Jobs: The adopted son of a machinist with no formal engineering degree, Steve was once fired from the very company he founded — Apple — yet came back to build it into one of the most influential companies in the world.

Oprah Winfrey: She grew up in poverty and faced unimaginable personal challenges. Despite this, she built a global media empire and became one of the most influential businesswomen on the planet.

Howard Schultz: The man behind Starbucks, grew up in a low-income housing complex. He once said he built Starbucks from a place of “not wanting to be poor anymore.”

Dhirubhai Ambani: He started out as a gas station attendant and later went on to build Reliance — one of India's largest business empires.

Jack Ma: He was rejected from dozens of jobs (including KFC) and was not accepted by Harvard after multiple attempts. Yet he went on to build Alibaba, one of the world’s most successful tech companies.

These stories share one message:

"Your starting point does not determine your finishing point."

Entrepreneurship is not something only a select few are born with.

It is a mindset — curiosity, resilience, creativity, and persistence. And these are qualities that anyone can develop, practice, and strengthen.

So if you’ve ever doubted whether you can become an entrepreneur, remember:

Entrepreneurs are not only born but they are also made through experience, failure, learning, rebuilding, and refusing to give up.

So remember that your journey can begin the moment you decide to take your first step towards your dreams & personal financial freedom.

What Do You Think ??

Do you feel entrepreneurs are born with it, or anyone can cultivate the mindset?

Let’s discuss in the comments .
