Louisiana black bear will remain off endangered list after judge dismisses lawsuit

For now, it is illegal to hunt Louisiana black bears. But a 2018 survey by the state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries found that 46% of Louisiana residents support a sustainable hunting season for the bears.

Interesting article about the decision to remove the Louisiana black bear from the federal list of endangered and threatened wildlife. I couldn't imagine hunting bears, and I'm not against hunting. But bears?? To me it's like hunting a cow, lol.
