What will be the Initial Price of EOS? – Closest Answer gets 10 SBD
Source: eos.io
To answer this question one must wonder how much ETH will be raised on the initial 5-day period. If we can speculate on that number we can estimate the price of EOS by dividing the total amount of ETH contributed by the initial 200M supply.
Total Amount of ETH contributed / Initial 5-day supply = Price of EOS
I want all my followers to comment and participate, but I also want to play so here is my guess: I think that EOS can raise in 5 days close to 2 million ETH, which is around 5 times more than what BANCOR raised in 3 hours.
1,983,600 ETH / 200,00,000 EOS = 0.009918 ETH per EOS
What do you think the price of EOS after the first auction will be? – I will be giving 10 SBD to the closest guess. Please express the price in ETH terms.
Good Luck!

Good Questions.. say after a year they raised a total of $500M divide that from the total supply that would $.50cents and that would be if they had the 1 B tokens in circulation
You knew it was coming!
My guess is 5$ Good luck @ all https://steemit.com/eos/@dowha/5jy9k-why-you-should-not-buy-eos-on-the-first-ico
1 eos = 0.0017 eth, that's my guess. My take on this one is it is another "me too" token. Marketing and people looking to double their money over the next six months by buying and liquidating for two to five times their purchase price. As far as utility of the token, I do not believe the white paper covers it well enough. Is this an ecosystem? Or am I just buying a percentage of total available compute? Then we get in to an application architecture conversation and I simply decide AWS dedicated instances are better for current designs as the compute is know and can be scales if usage warrants.
In short, my vote is sell the news and I believe people will become tired of i O's that are focused on big investors (who only want to liquidate for returns) in the near future. I need to see a community and utility that fits a need or the value proposition just isn't there.
Checked out that article, some serious calculations going on there! The ICO is expected to run about a year if i remember correctly. So at around the 6th month mark might be a good time to see where the price is at and if it would be a good time to jump in. Right now I'm in ICO burnout mode, and unless it's earthshattering I'm out of buying into ICO's for the foreseeable future.
Looks like I won? ICO price was .00326 Ether. More info here on my post here.
There will be 1,000,000,000 EOS in total. My guess is, that they will be valued with a market cap of 1 billion USD. That's not far fetched. BitShares has a market cap of 800 million USD right now and IOTA 1.2 billion USD. So every EOS token will have a price of 1 USD. Right now 1 ETH = 350 USD and 1 USD = 0.0028571 ETH. And that is my guess for the initial price of each EOS token. 1 EOS = 0.0028571 ETH = 1 USD.
i expect 500 to 1000 Mio in the 5 days maybe more , in this case it would be 2,50 - 5$ / token . HEre you can see the correct Numbers https://steemit.com/eos/@dowha/5jy9k-why-you-should-not-buy-eos-on-the-first-ico
@capitalism - I agree with you 99%! But it should be few cents over a dollar. It has to be, or all that plans, partners and investments will go to hell. If it hits anything under 1 USD it will be complete scan for money laundry. They are expecting to earn start-up profit from investments minimum 3c per 1$.
I am totally clueless, but just for the sake of playing I'm going to say not quite 1 ...
0.9999995 ETH
It could be equal or high or low who knows.
my guess is
0.0019990
Very good contest
It enhance the knowledge of steemit partcipents
0.007866
0.0015 ETH!
Fine thread. Good to see I'm not the only one that is thinking about this. The price of a coin should depend on the quality of the product, the team behind it, if proffesional investors believe in it, and a lot more facets. Personally I always use: https://www.coincheckup.com This site is really helpful in my coin research. I don't know any other sites with so much indepth analysis. For example: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Eos#analysis For the Eos Investment analysis.
