Patreos - A decentralized Patreon being built on EOS

Here's a good reason to start voting for at least one Block Producer or proxy on EOS. In 11 days there will be a snapshot for the Patreon airdrop, and only accounts voting for BPs will receive tokens.

I just finished reading the white paper and the project is actually an interesting one!

One of the things I wanted to find in the paper was that they will eventually support stable coins, so to not only have tokens that can change in value when pledging towards a content creator.

Crucial, certainly!

At first, I thought the idea of a decentralized Patreon was a bit of an obvious one. You could also just transfer crypto to your preferred content creator, right? What does a service like this actually add?

But, there are actually some really interesting features being proposed by Patreos! One of them being the staking rewards, which can come in many interesting ways. Do read the white paper to find out more about this.

Anyways, there is no way to tell if the project will gain traction or not, but if you do decide to vote for a BP within 11 days you will receive free PATR tokens in your EOS account.

Update: Voting for BP's before the airdrop will not result in being included in the snapshot. Patreos has communicated about the airdrop in their Telegram group and clarified there was some confusion about the airdrop. The snapshot has already been taken.
