RE: How Will EOS Impact BitShares?

in #eos7 years ago

It is worth noting that neither Stan nor Dan have any authority over the BitShares Blockchain and its future development. It is the BTS holders that make the decisions - hence, the plans of anyone (including Dan and Stan) need to be vetted by them and only after approval can be executed on BitShares.
That is how decentralized governance is supposed to work. The decision is in the hands of many people, not just any one 'leader' (in quotes).

It is very true that I have no control over BitShares, and I've made that case since our development team handed the software off to the community and rode off into the sunset. However, it would be less accurate to say that the many independent teams I work to encourage won't have a collective impact on the future of BitShares that goes far beyond the code that BTS holders own and operate. My goal is to do things that benefit those loyal BTS holders. Many others are working to do the same thing. For that reason, the future of BitShares is bright.
