EOS Detroit also attended the Scaling Blockchain Conference which was an incredible event which we were pleased to be a partner of and attend. Everything from governance to what it takes to be a block producer was discussed on the main stage as various members of the EOS community were in attendence at the venue.
Highlights included the showcase of dApps presented to the audience including Blockstart, Sygnet, Lumeos, Sense Chat, SeCrypto Labs, Eva Coop, EDNA, Challenge Dapp, Infiniverse, and New Life AI. Greg Simpson, founder of EDNA, was a crowd favorite with many people in the audience trying to get questions in after his presentation. Thanks again to Investing With a Difference for hosting such a successful event!
BancorX Goes Live
“As blockchain platforms continue to proliferate, their inability to communicate with one another has locked up value in disparate silos, creating a fragmented ecosystem which scares away potential users. A cross-chain solution enabling the free flow of financial information across distinct blockchains is a key piece of infrastructure that has been missing from the space. Until now.” Read more.

Featured Airdrop of the Week
Airdrops are additional tokens that are distributed to EOS token holders. New projects can bootstrap a user base for their DApp while avoiding the complexity of selling tokens via the traditional ICO method. Projects may withhold founder tokens that can provide a runway for the development team. Market participants then decides the fair market value of airdropped tokens for themselves.
Parsl
"A unified cannabis platform for a better cannabis industry."
"Parsl is a platform that utilizes leading edge technologies to create a supply chain that is efficient, transparent and safe."
Why Parsl?
"The cannabis industry faces many varied challenges with different rules and regulations around the world. This includes banking, product and financial tracking, compliance, legitimacy, safety, marketing, packaging and a lack of standardization."
"Parsl has developed a unified approach that will pave the way for greater standardization across the cannabis industry. This will be achieved through the deployment of the ITHACA eco-system, a platform which customizes Parsl’s technology for the cannabis industry."
Who is Parsl for?
Parsl for Growers
"The cannabis industry faces many varied challenges with different rules and regulations around the world. This includes banking, product and financial tracking, compliance, legitimacy, safety, marketing, packaging and a lack of standardisation."
Parsl for Sellers & Processors
"Parsl is inspired by the revolutionary progress made in cannabis-related medical and scientific research, and the promise that it shows for patients in need. However, patients, regulators and those in the industry are facing unique obstacles that have emerged with the growth of the cannabis industry. Parsl’s vision for the industry, encapsulated in the ITHACA platform, will assist in surmounting these obstacles and relieving the associated tension."

What is a RewardDrop?
"The traditional airdrop model is broken. EOS holders receive airdrops and quickly send them to market not taking the time to engage the community or really find out about what the project stands for. At Parsl, we wanted to engage the EOS community but also create a chance for an equitable and fair stake and reward those who follow the project and support our mission and goals. The reward drop will be distributing 900 million tokens in monthly airdrops over the course of the next 12 months. Initial airdrop on October 29th, 2018 In this airdrop we will be distributing 1000 SEED tokens to all EOS accounts which have over 100 EOS"
