The most generous gambling platform on Steem

in #epicdice5 years ago

This post is triggered by the monstrous payout today (over 900 STEEM div in a day after a long draught finally!), and inspired by the recent conversation in Steem gambling service profitability. Did a rough research on the topic and turned out to be super glad that I stick with EpicDice since the very beginning as a stakeholder!

For the sake of comparison, Kryptogamers(KG) will be the obvious subject here since it is the other prominent gambling site on Steem other than Epicdice(ED) with steady betting volume. I think this is an apple to apple comparison case. This post is by no means to discriminate or belittle KG maliciously but to compare profitability purely from a player perspective.

Total distributed dividend comparison

GAMER is KG main token which has been mined for about 25%. About 28k STEEM has been distributed as total dividend.

EPC is ED main token which has been minded for about 5%. About 20k STEEM has been distributed as total distributed.

Who share the most profit to players?

KG might look having the upper hand here on the absolute number. Guess those who are having a sensitive math sense would have already told that ED is way ahead of the game now without even drafting calculation formula.

Both platforms has the same halving point, which is happening every 10% token is mined. So the mining difficulty is a constant for both brands. Let's break it down with some numbers.

In ED, 5% of the token was mined and 20k STEEM has been distribution. We will use this as the benchmark since this set of value is "lower".

25% of token is mined in KG. This does not mean GAMER is only 5 times more mined than EPC because of the difficulty doubles every 10%. At 25%, GAMERS is mined 10 times more than EPC did. Lastly, total distributed dividend is 28k(KG) vs 20k(ED).

Deriving from the simple fact up there, we can reach some conclusions such as:

  • Using 5%*(Max supply) as dividing unit, one unit of KG pays out 2.8k STEEM meanwhile one unit of ED pays out 20k STEEM.
  • By the time ED reach the same 25% of mined token as KG did today, ED would have been paid out 200k STEEM.
  • If you hold the same amount of token in term of overall share in both platforms, you earn 10 times more solely by receiving dividend! Did I mention you don't even have to claim those bonus by EPC? They dropped into your pocket every day directly.

Verdict

This comparison result is way more absurd than I thought it could be. If you are in for the long-term profit and truly believe in both platforms, there are zero reasons you should not go for ED. Get that juicy EPC either by betting, delegation, airdrop or taking part in the new creativity bounty which you don't get to risk a single cent, like what this post is created for!

I wrote this one up not only to hope for winning some extra nice EPC, but I think ED deserve MORE attention than it should be. It is simply the most generous gambling platform you can ever find on Steem, even compared to other gambling services in another blockchain.
