President Trump has intensified his push for the U.S. to annex or acquire Greenland outright. Trump has publicly stated that "national security" is the primary reason , but investigations have identified Ronald Lauder as the shadow architect of this push to acquire/ annex Greenland.
Ronald Lauder has "bet big" on Greenland and has acquired commercial holdings there , securing interests in luxury freshwater and mineral extraction.
Lauder is also part of the consortium whose desire to access Ukrainian minerals appears to have pushedTrump to demand a share of Ukraines resources as part of any aid.
Analysts have said that the annexation push has never been about defense, but rather a move to open the Arctic to a specific consortirum of tech oligarchs.
The "Freedom Cities" Blueprint :
The Trump administration’s "Freedom Cities" initiative — a plan to build 10 ultra-modern cities on federal land to boost housing, industry, and economic growth — serves as the domestic testing ground for the Greenland model.
The Wexner Model initiative relies on the "New Albany Model" established by Les Wexner. Les Wexner is the cofounder of Bath and Body works Inc and the principal in Abercrombie and fitch, proving that a single billionaire has the wherewithal to bypass traditional urban constraints.
These zones / freedom cities will become "charter cities" where billionaires like Peter Thiel wish to experiment with autonomous governance and proprietary infrastructure.
The Juan Orlando Hernández Connection :
On 1 December 2025 former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández (JOH) was formally pardoned by President Donald Trump .
JOH had previously heavily campaigned for establishing ZEDEs (Zonas de Empleo de Desarrollo Económico (Zones for Employment and Economic Development) )
The first ZEDE (which eventually became Próspera) was finally authorized by CAMP in December 2017.
The ZEDE's courted significant controvery throughout their lifetime . There were a lot of concerns regarding land exploration , indigenous rights , environmental degradaton, foreign control .
The ZEDE laws were finally repeled in 2021 after Xiomara Castro won the elections in 2021.
Juan Orlando Hernández provide the critical legal precedent for this "Charter City" ideology. Since Hernández pioneered private cities (ZEDEs) like Próspera, his pardon is seen as a signal of protection for international allies who facilitate high-stakes private-land experiments.
This eventually effectively greenlights the expansion of private jurisdictions globally under U.S. diplomatic cover.
The Wexner-Epstein connection
thehe financial and social architecture of this network has been traced back to the historic partnership between Les Wexner and Jeffrey Epstein.
The December release of Epstien documents shows that Wexner communicated with Epstein in 2008 even though his estate officially claimed that their relationship ended in 2007. Epstein served as Wexner's financial advisor through the 1980s. He eventually went on to be a trustee of the Wexner Foundation in the 1990s. Wexner previously owned the NY townhouse that rose to infamy when Epstein was arrested. For reasons unexplained , Wexner gifed the house to Epstein, transferring title for the cost of $1 in 1996. The New York Times reported that the property was formally transferred in 2011 from a trust controlled by Wexner and Epstein to a Virgin Islands-based entity controlled by Epstein.
These the systems of "private-island" autonomy and unregulated finance perfected by Epstein are now being scaled up into the current "Freedom City" and "Greenland" policies.
