in #esteem6 years ago (edited)

We stay in a small community in the Western Cape of South Africa. Before we moved here we were part of a large community in Gauteng South Africa. We are also part of a large Church organisation called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that has a membership of around 16 million members.here in the Western Cape however there are only around 11 of us in the area, and not all attend regularly.
However this close and wonderful little church community have wonderful meetings most Sundays that we meet.

Today was a special one for us.

Today we watched the First Presidency, the Church's Prophet and his Councillors (we believe the same organisation that was organised in ancient days with prophets and organisational structures of old), Christmas devotional.

What a wonderful spirit that was felt.

With one of the most amazing and successful choirs that has ever been on the earth doing the music, The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, and wonderful messages by all involved, it was a feast for the

Some of the topics and hymns that were shared during the meeting:

1.Joy to the World - The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square
2.The First Noel - The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square
3.Silent Night, Love’s Pure Light - Sister Sharon L. Eubank
4.Silent night - The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square
5.A Gift from Father: Accepted or Rejected - Elder Terence M. Vinson
6.How Far Is It To Bethlehem? - The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square
7.Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room - Elder Gary E. Stevenson
8.Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful - The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square
9.Four Gifts That Jesus Christ Offers to You - President Russell M. Nelson
10.Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah - The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square

I am truly grateful to have days like this where a person can feel the influence and love of our Father, and how His greatest Gift is available to each of us.
What a wonderful time of year....where families can be together, where we can take a break from the year, where we can take stock of our lives, where we can celebrate a happening so profound that it has forever changed the world for the good....the birth of Jesus Christ into the world!

I feel to shout it out! Seriously, I feel to shout it from the rooftops! For I am one that has been saved many times, by his immense love for me. And His immense love for us all.
If I don't get to wish a merry Christmas, know that I pray you have a wonderful Christmas season, and a wonderful day.

All God's blessing upon you all.
