Here's what to do for yourself every day to be happy
Listen to the signals that your body sends and take care of yourself. Putting your needs first is not selfish.
- Look for help.
If you are facing a problem, you do not have to fight alone with it. Trust the method Dr. Bernstein calls "to find a spiritual mate" to give you courage while you suffer losses and disappointments, but also to enjoy you when you celebrate your success. There is nothing better than shared happiness, but also divided anguish.
- Imagine an easy mantra.
Dr. Bernstein recommends the phrase "sat nam, which means" Truth Is My Name ". Repeat it if necessary and try meditating. The first few times you will not get - you will not focus enough or believe it enough. But this does not refuse you. With practice you will get better results. Just keep repeating your mantra and focus on your breathing - slowly and deeply. "You will wonder how much benefit you will derive from this condition.
- Take time for yourself.
Whether you will give yourself 15 minutes in a soothing bath before bedtime or read a good book in the morning, it is important to be something just for you. Think about what you like to do, and you still have no time for it. Now do it. How will you love others if you do not love yourself first?
- Dissolve your heart.
Solving your heart for love or friendship is not an easy task. People spend months and even years trying to raise concrete walls for fear of being hurt, deceived, abandoned. Take time to strengthen your relationships with people, especially with your partner.
- Realize that you have no control over some things.
The painful ambition to control our lives is not only inefficient but also harmful to you. Just accept that there are events beyond which you do not have power. Focus on what you can change, forget what you can not. The next time you are late for an important meeting and all day goes head-on, stop for a moment, take a deep breath and say, "Whatever I could, I did, what to do!" You will be surprised at what load you will take from your shoulders.
