Unlike most bitcine forks, BTCP has been well thought out. It has a proper development team and the code is being thoroughly tested. One of the reasons is that the date of fork was announced recently that the BTCP portfolio was allowed to be fully examined. Although it is too quick to say that the fork will go without any incident, look at the signs. In comparison, recent Bitcoin Thorns have occurred with low activity and buggy departments.
