My three elder brothers used to smoke, all of them. Now the two stopped and only one is doing so. I am not sure how the two got rid of smoking. I never asked. I was just happy that they did. The other one, in the middle, who did not stop smoking got his senses. He gets out of the house when he smokes. Since I noticed that, I got the courage to command people, even visitors, to get out of the house when they smoke. 😊 We are still hoping the middle brother will stop smoking soon.
I am not sure which post, but I remember commenting somewhere about my former professor who shared his struggle in giving up smoking. He described himself like a mad dog because he was literally drooling with considerable amount of saliva when the urge strikes. He also feel tremors, he trembles if he does not smoke. But then he has to go through it. He fought that by finding an alternative, he said mostly candies or gums. Maybe you can try that too.
that is really hard to leave the habit, but I am not planning to leave it in one go, but I will reduce it, brother of mine used to smoke a lot but suddenly he stop it without any reason and leave it forever without any trick. I asked him how to do it, he just said " I Just dont like it anymore, and I dont know what happen and why". I thought he was kidding me when he gave half of his remaining pack to me, but since that time he never touch it again ever.
Hi hi how are you my friend. Yes, I hope so, but it is difficult for the addictive person. I manage to reduce it become 1/2 pack a day.

If your brother was able to do it, you too can do it. Good luck! 😊
