Anwar Ibrahim Officially Released from Prison.

**Kuala Lumpur **- An opposition figure of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, has officially received a royal pardon from Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V. Anwar out of Cheras Rehabilitaion Hospital as a free man.

Confirmed People's Justice Party (PKR) spokesman Fahmi Fadzil told Reuters on Wednesday (16/5/2018) that Anwar (70) had officially received a full royal pardon or pardon from Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

The Channel News Asia report, called Anwar officially quit the Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital, where he was treated after shoulder surgery, at about 11:30 am local time.

Anwar continued to smile and waved to his supporters who had been waiting outside the hospital since the morning. To the journalist, Anwar only gave the thumbs up, without any comment.

Anwar looks neatly dressed after a black suit with a tie. She appeared to be accompanied by family, lawyers and jailers before getting into the car and leaving the hospital complex.

From the hospital, Anwar rushed to the State Palace to meet the invitation to meet Yang-Pertuan Agong.

"The pardons have held a meeting and the King (Yang di-Pertuan Agong) has granted a full pardon, which means all the charges in the past have been removed," said Anwar's lawyer Sivarasa Rasiah, as quoted by Reuters.

Anwar has served a five-year prison term for sodomy since 2015. Anwar spent his sentence at Sungai Buloh Prison. But the last few months he was undergoing medical treatment at the hospital after doing shoulder surgery.
