Election in my Area(My Country)

Election period is the only moment the politicians believe their are sets of people called the grassroots or the masses. These are the period the will visit them in their houses because they knows and believes they have the power to vote them in OR vote them out of office.
Right now, campaign groups now moves from one village, town,city to another in the aim of buying the people to their different political parties.
Whenever I see crowds at a political campaign grounds, I asked myself if all these people are there to support the said party or just because of what they will get after the said campaign.

Why is this so?, why is our people in support of these selfless politicians because of the money or gift they are giving out after each campaign. Why will my people risk their lifes for a false promises they pronounced out at the campaign ground. A promise that was forgotten by those that promised them immediately they left the podium.

I see groups of people shouting different names of candidates and parties all around and I wonder why will my people be this funny to fall for these craps.

Am not saying we shouldn't support them all join them in the race but did we ever study who we are supporting and willing to die for in the process of the rally and on the election day?

Dear people of Nigeria, how I wish we can vote without sentiment and bias mind or for the sake of the money that will be giving in return.
Let's vote wisely so we won't regret the day we cast our vote for the wrong leader.
