My #friendsday post is for @denissemata because she asked to see the baking that my 12 year old granddaughter did yesterday. She made a birthday cake from scratch for her dad and brother and it was delicious!
And then she decorated a gingerbread train!
Today we had Christmas!
It has been a great weekend!

I need to have more parties all week! There is so much food left and everyone will be leaving today.
Am I too late for a slice? I guess I am :) That gingerbread train as a fantastic idea, looks wonderful, the cake too. I didn't do gingerbread this year, there was no time for that but I can do it in January. Happy #friendsday Melinda!
There is one slice left and I was just thinking that it would go nicely with an afternoon cup of tea! So you will have to hurry!
The train was a joint effort between her and her brother. He assembled it and sanded down all the edges so that it would fit precisely and then glued it together with the frosting. She did the decorating and they were both quite proud of their effort.It was fun to watch them.
