Somehow describe this one village. It is true, from the name sounds quite foreign, and it seems like not the name of the village in Aceh. As an Acehnese, the name was the first time I heard it from someone who was not an Acehnese. Bang Ananta Rangga Permana Stokhorst her name, Young Teachers Force 9. Araselo ... even the Sawang community themselves have no idea where the existence of this village. Yet somehow the Indonesian Program of Teaching can find this village and decide to place one of the Young Teachers there. Since deciding to target primary school in Araselo as a target of JAY-C visit, since then also the curiosity and desire of adventure continue to boom. On Friday, May 8, 2015, the intention of visiting which had twice delayed was finally realized. So we came to Araselo, to visit and share with the children there. Initially there were 10 people who wanted to get involved, (7 members, and 3 participants) but somehow, on the day of departure all the volunteers became 14 people. Unexpected enthusiasm. And ... Araselo, when the clock is pointing at 4 pm, in the middle of a dark sky and a thin drizzle, we move to touch it. There were towering, towering hills. The cold was clinging. Big trees and shrubs surround. It's hard to believe it's called a road leading to a village, because it's more like a road to the jungle. But 7 Motorcycles carrying 14 human children are on. Although the rain sends the cold, but there is no visible face of fear from friends. Clouds are getting darker, not the slightest hampering the course of the move to keep moving. Yes, the darker the streets are getting less friendly. The road surface is getting fierce, rocky (not just gravel), slippery (typical of the rainy terrain land affected by rain), and the road is getting narrower, increasingly uphill. Araselo, a remote part of Aceh Utara, almost penetrated to Central Aceh. At seven o'clock we sighed in relief, we arrived happily. Ever imagined? In the middle of the forest in such a wilderness, it turns out there is a primary school named SDN 25 Sawang? And SDN 25 Sawang, it was not as close as we thought. With a motorcycle, it takes about 20 minutes to arrive to the location. And because the school building is on a hill, it takes another 20 minutes to walk (at risk if riding a sepmor) up a steep and rocky hill. And ... that's Araselo. In elementary school that is one of Indonesia PM Mengajar dedicate a year old there. True, that this journey brings a life lesson is very valuable. A journey that teaches many things. Need extra keihklasan, humility, care to be able to serve as sincerely heart, become young and powerful young. Leave the hustle and bustle of the city of Jakarta and serve the village, a year away from the family, for the sake of a year of service, for the sake of inspiring life. Thank you very much bang Rangga, for his inspiration. Stay compact the JAY-Ciers, thanks for your hands, hands are tough and great.
