One of the reason why some friendships last is because we accept our friends for who they are without wanting, or trying to change them. No one is perfect. If we wait for the perfect person to come along before we call him/her ‘friend’, we will be friendless. Understand your friends for who they are and accept them for who they are. This is what being a friend means.

Well said at the beginning and love the meme, I also appreciated most of the quotes as well, some I disagreed with a lil bit. Recently I learned the etymology of friend is connected to the word "free" which is believed to partly mean "to love".. So I think it's entirely possible to be friends with someone and to love them even if they don't reciprocate it, however.. If they don't reciprocate then they probably shouldn't try to call themselves a friend of yours(Unless of course they are just too busy and have spread themselves too thin or something like that). I think if people do not reciprocate, then it is quite pointless to be friends. The whole idea of being friends is that you spend time together, you talk, you look out for each other. No point in having a friend who can't be there for you - for whatever reason.

Agreed. Though I think that we should be friends with people just because we love them, rather than because of what they can do for us. At least ideally! I know it's not always that easy and doesn't always work out that way, but it'd be nice to strive towards loving for the sake of love and not just cause of what we get out of it.
I whole heartedly agree with you. I am quite hesitant to ask my friends for help, or favours. Wouldn't dream of inconveniencing my friends. I guess what I meant by 'reciprocate' was that friendship is a two-way thing. If your 'friend' do not accept your friendship, then he is not a friend is he? Sure, you can still love him for who he is, but he is not your friend.
In regards to a friend no reciprocating meaning they are not friend I think it depends and I would have used to agree with you more but recently I looked up the etymology of the word friend which is connected to "free" and also to "love".. So even if someone doesn't reciprocate you loving them still means they are a friend in my opinion, even if they aren't friendly back towards you. And true love is giving them that "freedom" to not reciprocate. So the way I say it these days is.. I'm a friend to all.. Everyone is my friend even if they aren't friendly back to me. Because I love everyone, and it doesn't matter if they reciprocate or not.. I still love them, thus they are my friends.
I think you are talking about Compassionate love. :-) A compassion towards all beings and living things. I can relate to that. :-)

I didn't do a thing except work on steemit, but it's been raining and too muddy to work outside anyway. I don't even know if this is a good time investment or not.
I had a quiet weekend. Didn't do much which suits these lazy bones.

Howdy again sir Vincent! well I think we will or else we're going to be depressed for a little while. Well maybe you won't be. There are so many brilliant and creative people working hard to make sure Steem and steemit succeed that I think it has more than a 50% chance of doing just that. If I was a betting person I'd bet on it!

Whether Steem and Steemit will make it is one thing. The main thing is will we be around to spend it. We still do not know how long before crypotcurrency will be the norm.
Yes, I walk every day for the exercise, to keep healthy. No compromise there. Lazy bones or not, when it's time to walk, I walk. :-)

I am a creature of habit and routine. The walking is part of my every day routine. Believe it or not, if I don't go for a walk, I feel uncomfortable, and guilty.
