Siwak or miswak is the stem or root of the Salvadora persica tree used to clean teeth, gums and mouth.

Recent research on siwak wood shows that siwak contains natural minerals that can kill bacteria, eliminate plaque, prevent cavities and nourish the gums. Siwak has a useful chemical content, such as:
