Overcoming Mom-in-Law Problems!
So what now?! Uhmm. How can I move on from my previous post? Tell me, LOL. Thank you everyone —to all of you who participated the challenge, it was overwhelming! I enjoyed every post, well except for the post that were written in Spanish. I did not understand a single thing hahaha although I still appreciated the effort. So THANK YOU!
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I initiated the challenge, 10 Random Things - all you have to do is write down 10 Random facts about yourself. Anyone is welcome to join, you don’t need to wait for someone to tag you but if you do join, it’ll be nice if you can tag someone to play along too! What are your plans this weekend?! How are you guys doing? Me? Well, yesterday was a bad day, but today I feel more better. I had a misunderstanding with my Mom in law. It was INTENSE! lol 😂 Who can relate with me?! Lolol message me so you can give me some tips on how to handle the in laws!
Nah really, if I know I am right, I will stand up for myself. I mean at first ok I’ll let it pass for a couple of times but when it comes to the point that it’s already crossing the line then you have to SPEAK up! It’s not a good relationship anymore. Don’t trap yourself in a situation where you let things get worst. AND don’t ever please no one because it doesn’t solve the problem. Give yourself some respect too! I wouldn’t want to see myself in that scenario.
There is always two sides of the story. Maybe you should also ask yourself why you both don’t get along. Maybe you are not doing your part as a daughter in law? Maybe you lack in effort to connect with her? These are some possible reasons why she sees something wrong with you. I mean you can’t just complain and complain. It takes two to tango! Make your effort to get to know her better. Do not please her, do it because you are sincere. Never do anything to please one person because that’s another story, people will just take advantage of you.
So yeah, I had a tough time with my mom in law these past few days. I decided that it shouldn’t stay that way, it wasn’t healthy anymore. It was already affecting me, and I didn’t want it to affect my kids too. So I went up to her and confronted her of what I feel about her and we had an understanding. I say it like it was a super easy thing to do hahaha! I had to do it, and now I don’t regret anything I said. It was such a relief to be able to express myself and now I can get better sleep at night!

Hmm in-laws are touchy subject but I'm glad you got over the hump and made your point across.
Doesn't help to please everyone because you'll end up miserable. Hope everything's better after this :)
Aww thank you for your concern. We already made up, so glad I went up to her I couldn’t take the silent treatment she was giving me.. after all she is the grandmother of my children, she isn’t perfect just like me. 😊
