ETH price prediction for 2018
$15,000 USD by the end of the year!
Reddits Co-Founder, Alexis Ohanian, has been talking pubicly about blockchain and crypto. The now venture capitalist sees value in crypto, and even though he has pointed out the hype around the blockchain industry, he feels very optimistic for the soon future of the Ethereum platform, he see the the second part of the year marked by a bullish market, with Bitcoin reaching $20,000 per coin and Ether at the $15k usd mark.
There is/has been some very interesting projects built on it just this year alone. Have you come across #Waves and the #WavesPlatform ?
It is about to release smart contacts and is a very user friendly platform. I think it could be real competition for eth.
There are many platforms with interesting proposals and good tech, but the real value comes with the adoption of it. Eth is what it is because there is so mucho development in the ecosystem, so many dapps and companies working on it, that means money. EOS is coming with the biggest hype ever seen in the crypto realm, Block.one ICO was the biggest in history, and still it success will depend on how fast current development made in other blockchains like dapps on eth and even steemit. The only factor that justifies the project sucess is @Dan and his 2 prooven working products and success, Bitshares and Steem, and even though that these are 2 platform with an incredible success but marginal valuation, both under the top 30 at CoinMarketCap.
Waves is cool but is not getting even half the attention from devs that ETH or EOS has.
I've heard $15k predicted a couple times now. I expect this to be a great year for Ethereum, but I don't know that I see it being that great. I'd say $7500-10k but I'm more than willing to be proven wrong ;)
I think ETH has grown simnifically and the ecosystem developed so far will pump the price to higher levels if BTC goes back to the 20k level, but everything depends on the launch of EOS and how fast is its adoption over eth.
Not just EOS, but NEO, Zilliqa, MatrixChain, etc. 2017 the "chain-as-a-platform" war kicked off as more and more projects started aiming for Ethereum's place and we'll start to see the results of that this year. The one thing Ethereum has going for it is a lot of the hyped ICOs from last year will get released this year and we'll start to see what real adoption looks like.
We'll see how it goes. I'd be thrilled to see $15k ETH EOY, but I'll keep my budgets set for $10k or less since I think competing chains will give it enough resistance to hold off a massive breakaway until 2019 when scaling issues have been dealt with.
I agree on $7500-10k, if higher it will be hype on steroids

Bueno, como va la cosa me cuesta pensar que el ETH llegará a 15.000 USD este año, pero bueno... cualquier cosa puede pasar, recordemos lo que paso con BTC a finales de 2017, lo que si es verdad es que a medida que la Blockchain sigue dándose a conocer y evolucionando como tecnología el ETH seguirá aumentando poder, y por proyección creo que ETH en algún momento puede llegar a ser la moneda líder. El tiempo y el mercado hablarán.
