Is Ethereum Just Passing The Moon?
Ethereum since its conception and over the last couple of years has meant
many things to many different people. I for one was and still, am a firm
believer in its block chain technology. I believed then that it would
revolutionize how we conceptualize, interpret and speculate the "process" of
block chain tech. Like many new things on the market, it is not always easy
to bring something from a proof of concept into a physical or in this case;
a digital reality. We have all been riding high on Bitcoin and have suffered
the lows and pitfalls, and have been over joyed at its attempt to move
forward and climb to new heights. So where exactly is the ceiling for these
particular two cryptocurrencies? I mean, every time we see the dust settle
and a new plateau is reached, we usually think to ourselves and out loud
that it won't continue to climb. Each time this type of movement in the
crypto-sphere occurs we are strangely reminded of the saying "skies the limit", no
longer applies to digital currency. In fact "skies the limit" seem to only
apply to earthly materials and commodities such as Gold & Silver, Diamonds &
Pearls, and Sapphire & Gems... You get the point. All of these physical
"tokens" of wealth, which are tangible, today are failing in comparison to
the likes of intangible currencies, derived from the digital dimension.

What Will Stop Ethereum From Becoming As Popular As Bitcoin?
Ethereum has had two years to work on its identity and become familiar with
its digital reach and influence on the cryptocurrency market. In those two
years we have seen many ups and downs, corrections and dismal mishaps, signs
of influential growth one minute and then outright crash and burn after the
DAO lol. Its sick humor I know, but it's all been a part of the journey and
from those ashes, Ethereum has risen to a prominent position of power
lately, resulting in major corporate adoption, global recognition and even
direct foreign support of Russia. With that being said, Ethereum as we
thought we knew it has become an entirely different entity almost overnight.
To put it into simple Dragonball Z terms everyone will understand; two years
ago, Ethereum was learning how to master Kao-Ken x10 and two years later
it's just transformed into a Super Saiyan level 1. The Ethereum block chain of today will fail if they can't solve the most powerful issues plaguing the tech/digital world; hacking, theft and manipulation to name a few.

So What's Next For Ethereum?
Prediction time! My favorite part, in simple speculation, I believe we will
see Ethereum roughly touch $500+ USD value before the first week of August
2017. This summer starting this month we will see it undergo some big
changes in term of valuation. I don't believe the inflation will reflect
Ethereum's "true" value but it will nonetheless benefit from a false sense
of inflation. With new of Bitcoin forking in August, this will undoubtedly
cause a panic in the crypto community and we will see large amounts of
Ethereum being purchased and converted, hence causing SOME of the false
inflation valuation. With more and more foreign recognition of Ethereum's
block chain and its superior ability to handle and issue smart contracts, it
has become a homing beacon for anyone looking to benefit from its ecosystem.
Companies and governments have all signed or shown great support of
Ethereum's value. This is why we can expect Ethereum to be worth close to or
more than $1300+ USD by January 2018. Though the outcome looks great for
Ethereum in my opinion, I believe you have to also account for the unseen
road map to that valuation. First, Ethereum will undoubtedly still see
hiccups and slight pitfalls in its numerical assent to $1300+ USD. It will
not be a smooth process but its not something it hasn't already faced
before.

So How Will It Stack Up To Bitcoin's Valuation?
It will still pale in comparison to Bitcoin. If we were to take a snapshot
of today's bitcoin prices and compare it next January to Ethereum's THEN
price, then you could make a comparison, but like Ethereum, Bitcoin's
numerical valuation will also be increased and essentially on another level.
As always, I am not a daily trader or broker of any kind, im a simple
American who loves to watch, hold and evaluate cryptocurrency; I am not
responsible for your actions. With that being said, if you don't have an
emotional attachment to Ethereum and want to make a bit of cash; putting
your money into Ethereum today and for the rest of 2017 will more than
likely prove one of the best moves to date.

A part of me just wants to fast forward a year and figure out where bitcoin and each alt coin reaches. Its not even the price per coin, its the curiosity that kills me each morning! I stay up till the sun comes up just staring at charts some nights because there's so much action. Crypto never sleeps.
To the moon.

Nope it never sleeps! You have a new follower Steph! Thanks for the support!

Really great ideas and analysis! Its going to be really exciting these next few months. Also, Ive been hearing that Bitcoin is going to fork, but im not sure what that means, could you elaborate?

Thanks Michael, yes; bitcoin will fork which means corporate and miners can't get along a come up with an agreed upon decision to fix the blockchains rapid slowing of data transmission. One side, thinks they should implement Segwit while the other doesn't agree. Well things have gotten so bad, that on August 1st 2017 the miners will decide to implement Segwit and break off from the original bitcoin blockchain, while the other half of the bitcoin blockchain will not be able to mine any blocks for a certain period of time, I believe its almost a month. So naturally in September, the original bitcoin blockchain will be essentially two different coins. Kind of like Ethereum & Ethereum Classic tokens.

Awesome analysis! So what is your opinion on LTC Im very excited for it. I think its a solid option away from BTC's scattered direction and ETH's bubble..

I will release a video dedicated to Litecoin but in a nutshell, I believe Litecoin is a safe asset for NOW. I would change it for something else that won't be affect by the looming Bitcoin situation due to hit August 1st. If Bitcoin forks and adopts Segwit, then it will eliminate Litecoin as an asset because it will be worth more and leave no real job for litecoin to do. Either Litecoin will be worth half as less than its worth now or it will disappear altogether.
