Just a few days back, A consulting firm predicted that Ethereum price could hit $2500 by the end of this year. Now, Reddit co-founder predicted that Ethereum could hit $15000 this year. I don't know how they calculate the price predictions or it is just a random prediction or it might may they already invested in Ethereum.

It does not matter the current and future price of Ether. Ethereum project already a blockbuster project and it continues to improve in coming days.

If the predictions of Reddit Co-founder - Alexis Ohanian, is correct, Ethereum market cap would reach whopping $2.5 Trillion Dollar. - Source
