Ethereum London Meeting Review

I managed to attend the event even though I was on the waiting list with some other 500 people. Because it is a free event 260 people suppose to be there so see the speakers. More than half changed there plans without changing the RSPV, which is a bit annoying for people like me that were in the waiting room ready to jump if a spot would open.

The people on the organising team where really helpful and the event started smoothly. It was held at the Imperial College. The sound was good only some small issues with the WiFi, but I would say it would be normal when 150 people are trying to use it concomitent.

The best moment of the presentation and of the evening was a demo of the VR integration. Let's say you want to have a team meeting with the remote people that they are based in Panama, Mexico and Nicaragua. You can put all those people in a virtual room that they can see you and the files you are sharing and the walls of the virtual room, just with a phone camera. Even cooler if you connect some glasses to it. That's just one of the treats of the project. Is meant to connect all the communication platforms like stacks or Telegram into a common channel.

The other 2 presentation were not as exciting as this one but the information was interesting. One project was about a complete new financial network and the other was about ENS and the last achievements of the project. I am considering now to buy a domain and to use it for some charity work I intend to do. But wrapped on the event was really good entertainment for the blockchain community. A lot of interesting people that I met in the between breaks.

So short story I am glad that this events are growing in interest and people like me without a developer/background of programming start to grasp the concepts 😜
