2 Chains

Just wondering how people feel about the recent hard forking of the Ethereum network and the result, the now simultaneously existing 2 chains. If Ethereum as a blockchain is able to record, compute and act as "living" network for this planet, having two I would regard as unpreferable, but thats just me. I imagine one network would serve the purpose just fine and be a lot "cleaner" for the entire world. Perhaps its too late to do anything about and we just have to deal with twin chains, shrug.
